Chinese Traditional Painting: Brush Painting

Expert Teacher

Chan Wan Yiu demonstrates his expertise in Chinese traditional brush painting

Teacher, Chan Wan Yiu, studied Chinese Painting and Calligraphy in the orthodox discipline with a great number of distinguished Chinese contemporary artists. He has taught in institutions in Hong Kong and New Zealand, including the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Institute of Education and Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design.

For the past 40 years, his works have been shown in exhibitions in Hong Kong and many other countries, reflecting his great talent in responding to the traditions of the great masters of the Song and Yuan Dynasties and their contemporaries, yet incorporating aspects of their spirits with his new developments.

He has taught Chinese Painting and Calligraphy at the Confucius Institute since 2006.
