First Two Confucius Institute Chinese Prizes awarded to UOA students
The Confucius Institute Chinese Prizes were established in 2016 by the Confucius Institute in Auckland with the aim of assisting students studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Chinese at the University of Auckland.
With the start of the new semester in 2017, two students from the Arts Faculty, Vladislav Yuryev and David Robertson, received the Prizes to encourage their further studies on Chinese language.
Both students expressed their appreciation to the Confucius Institute. "It's a great honour!" said Vlad, "China is one of the most fascinating languages and cultures in the world, and this prize is a great opportunity to further my study in Chinese!"
