DESCRIPTION:Learn Chinese Mandarin for beginners, a language spoken by over one billion people!\nThe Confucius Institute in Auckland is offering a structured series of Mandarin language courses in 2021. Each course runs for ten weeks, with 1.5-hour evening classes held once a week, instructed by experienced teachers from the Confucius Institute.\nAbout the Course\nParticipants should know at least 150 Chinese words and some basic grammar patterns.\nThis course aims to expand your vocabulary with Chinese Proficiency HSK-2 words and patterns while reviewing Chinese Conversation Level 1 (HSK-1) related words.\nYou will be able to produce simple connected text on topics related to your daily life and make some basic comments on things around you.\nContent will be at the discretion of the teacher and student needs.\nThe aim is to pass the HSK-2 exam (optional).\nOn completion of this course participants will be able to:\nParticipants who pass the exam at this level have an excellent grasp of basic Chinese and can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.\n
