DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nLearn Chinese Mandarin for beginners, a language spoken by over one billion people!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Confucius Institute in Auckland is offering a structured series of Mandarin language courses in 2021. Each course runs for ten weeks, with 1.5-hour evening classes held once a week, instructed by experienced teachers from the Confucius Institute.\nAbout the Course\nThis is a beginner’s course to support learners with no or very little knowledge of the Chinese language who want to use basic Chinese in daily communications. This course will also create a good foundation for further learning of Chinese.\n  The course will cover:\n\nan introduction to the Chinese pronunciation system using pinyin\nintroducing yourself\ntelling the time\ndates\nbasic conversation and more.\n\n \n On completion of this course participants will be able to:\n\npronounce Modern Standard Chinese using pinyin\nuse simple expressions\nexchange basic greetings\ntalk about occupations\nuse Chinese numbers in your daily life eg. count, age, date and time.\n\n\n\n\n\n
