With the start of the new school year, the Confucius Institute in Auckland welcomed the 2018 class of Mandarin Language Assistants to New Zealand on February 2nd.
CI Auckland had an farewell ceremony for the MLAs of 2017 on 24th November. Most of them returned to China in December after they finished their teaching of the last term. We wish them all the best in the future.

The first Youth Chinese Test (YCT) of the year was held in 19th August. With the assistance from the school teachers and Mandarin Language Assistants, over 40 students sat in the exam and achieved some fantastic results. Many of the students came from the cluster schools of Confucius Classroom.
