The first Youth Chinese Test (YCT) of the year was held in 19th August. With the assistance from the school teachers and Mandarin Language Assistants, over 40 students sat in the exam and achieved some fantastic results. Many of the students came from the cluster schools of Confucius Classroom.

The Second Oceania Chinese Teachers Conference, organized by the Confucius Institute in the University of Auckland, ILEP, and the New Zealand Chinese Teachers Association, has been held in Auckland, New Zealand on 24th June, 2017. Nearly one hundred Chinese language teachers registered and attended the conference.
