In\u00a0March<\/strong>, the Confucius Institute in Auckland hosted the visit of a Fudan Delegation, marking the occasion with a morning of shared stories, cultural performances, and warm exchanges.<\/p>\n

CI hosted the event featuring students and schools who have had a connection with Fudan. Attendees enjoyed a series of engaging presentations, including personal reflections from\u00a0PhD and exchange students<\/strong>\u00a0and a talk by\u00a0Oliver Blaom<\/strong>, former Chinese Bridge Competition champion, who shared his memorable experience studying Mandarin.<\/p>\n

Cultural highlights included a beautiful\u00a0guzheng performance<\/strong>\u00a0and an elegant dance by\u00a0Zhang (Herry) Ziqiao<\/strong>, our MLA at\u00a0Rosehill College<\/strong>. We were also delighted to welcome\u00a0staff and students from Fairfield College in Hamilton<\/strong>, including\u00a0Principal Richard Crawford<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Chinese Language Teacher Bei Wang<\/strong>, who travelled up for the day to share\u00a0local cultural performances<\/strong>\u00a0with our guests.<\/p>\n
