The YCT Exam in 2025

The YCT test encourages young Chinese language learners, 15 years and under, to learn and improve their Chinese language proficiency. YCT exams 2025 will be held in August and November.

Registration (Step 1) and payment (Step 2) must be completed before closing date.

Updates: Exam Dates in 2022

Although there are still lots of uncertainties in organizing the exams under the restrictions, the Auckland Exam Centre would like to confirm the exam dates in 2022 for your early information. Details about the registrations and other information will be updated when they are available.

Covid-19 information updates

The City Campus of the University of Auckland is closed until further notice. See UoA’s Covid information for the community.

The Confucius Institute office in Pembridge House is closed too. All CI staff will be working from home until Q1 2022.

 

• The CTCSOL interview will be held online on December 11 and 12.
• The December Chinese Immersion Week in Rotorua has been canceled.
• The HSK test on December 4 has been canceled. 
• The HSK test on October 17 has been canceled.
• The CTCSOL on September 25 will go ahead as scheduled.
• The YCT test on August 21 has been canceled.
• All on-site language classes have been postponed or moved online.

The December Chinese Immersion Week in Rotorua has been canceled.

Because of the spread of Covid-19 and Alert Level restrictions, it has become highly unlikely to run such an event as the Chinese Immersion Week in December. The organizers, the North Asia CAPE, CI at VUW, and CI in Auckland, jointly decided to cancel the programme. All applicants will be notified soon. We are still hoping to bring some alternative programmes to reward young Chinese learners when the restrictions were eased.

The upcoming HSK test on Dec 4 at the Confucius Institute in Auckland has been canceled.

Students who have registered for the test can choose either

• to change the test date to the next available HSK in 2022, or
• to request a full refund.

Please register for the exam and do the payment by 25 June 2021.
