On 21 October, the Confucius Institute in Auckland hosted 14 principals and lead educators from across the bigger Auckland region for a day of collaboration, inspiration, and exchange of ideas.

The Confucius Classrooms Principals’ Forum provided an opportunity to share experiences and explore innovative approaches to Chinese language teaching and cultural engagement in schools. Participants heard updates on new initiatives and resources, including digital learning tools designed to support classroom teaching and student participation.

The day concluded with an experiential calligraphy workshop, where participants had the chance to try traditional brush techniques and gain a deeper appreciation of this beautiful art form. The atmosphere throughout the day was collegial and enthusiastic, reflecting the shared commitment to fostering Chinese language learning in local schools.
