Growing and Changing: MLA PD Training in Wellington
After a term immersed in schools, the Mandarin Language Assistants (MLA) are growing in confidence to teach Chinese to Kiwi kids.
In their first school holiday break in April, the 48 MLAs from Confucius Institute in Auckland flew down to Wellington to attend the national MLA Professional Development Workshop from 25th to 28th April. Joined by MLAs from the other two CIs at The University of Victoria in Wellington and The University of Canterbury in Christchurch, 147 MLAs together spent three busy days sharing their teaching experiences and polishing up their teaching skills.
This year’s national MLA Professional Development Workshop was hosted by CI at The University of Victoria in Wellington and supported by the CI Headquarters in Beijing.
