Expression of Interest – Mandarin Language Assistant 2023

Confucius Institute in Auckland invites schools in the wider Auckland region spanning from Northland to Waikato to express their interest to host a Mandarin Language Assistant (MLA) for the 2023 academic year. This initiative aims to support the learning of Chinese language and culture in New Zealand schools and to raise the quality of Mandarin language provision.

Please read the background information for eligibility and expectations of the programme. ALL SCHOOLS wishing to host an MLA MUST submit an EOI, regardless if in a cluster or individually. An option to receive a Local Teacher Assistant (LTA) grant is also available. Read below for more info.

The deadline for submissions is 5 pm, Friday 9 September 2022 and MUST have the approval of the school principal.
