Farewell MLA 2018
Time flies. The 2018 class of Mandarin Language Assistants has been in New Zealand schools for almost one year and will be going back to China soon.
On 23 November, the Confucius Institute in Auckland invited school principals, teachers, homestay families, and friends of our MLAs to join us to say THANK YOU and GOODBYE to them. This year, CI Auckland hosted 47 MLA, includes 8 Hanban teachers and 39 volunteer teachers, from China, and they have been working at over schools and universities in the greater Auckland region, including Whangarei in the Northland, Thames, Cambridge, Morrinsville, and Hamilton in the Waikato.
The representatives of the 2018 class MLAs, Cheng Yiqing and Li Pan, spoke to the audience about their experiences in New Zealand and concluded, “Kia Ora, Aotearoa; See you later, New Zealand; 后会有期 ,新西兰 。”
On behalf of the students, teachers, schools, and the Confucius Institute, we would like to wish them ALL THE BEST heading back to China and for the future.
