Last weekend, the annual Chinese Lantern Festival came back to Auckland for the 20th time, with around 200,000 people attended the event, including the Prime Minister Jacindar Ardern.
It is the 13th time for the Confucius Institute being involved to the festival, and the second year proudly as a strategic festival supporter to the Auckland City Council. A specific Confucius Institute Cultural Courtyard was set up on the Auckland Domain, and provided various Chinese cultural experiences, from traditional Chinese medicine to the game of diabolo. May a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year of the Pig be with all the New Zealanders!
A big thanks to all the CI volunteers who helped at the Cultural Courtyard during the festival.
